Learn how to play, how to throw a ZLING & how to win!
If you wanna play an easy version, these are the basics of the game
Preparations

Find a nice and flat lawn. Knock the stick, half of its length, down into the grass

Measure a distance of about 5 meters from the stick to the players.

Tie the string to the stick with a good knot so you have a measurement for who is closest after all the ZLINGS are thrown.

How to throw the ZLING

If you wanna go the ”safe” way:
Put the ZLING in your hand so your thumb rests well upon the right side of the inner circle of the ZLING. Then swing your arm like a pendulum straight towards the stick and release it so it doesn’t wobble. If you succeed the ZLING will cut down in the ground and stay there.

If you wanna go the ”frisbee” way (the cool way):
Put the ZLING in your hand so your thumb rests well in the immersion. Swing your arm in the same way as in the ”safe” way, but at the moment of release of the ZLING, you flick/twitch your wrist so the ZLING will move like a frisbee. The point here is to throw so the ZLING sweeps forward and hits the stick.

End of the game
The player who reaches 51 points or above wins. If more than one is above 51. The one with the total highest score wins. If there’s a tie these players will throw one more ZLING. The one closest wins in the final throw.

Closest to the stick
Closest to the stick gets 6 points and further on down to 1 point . Use the string to decide who’s closest.

Hit the stick
Everyone who ”Hit the stick” gets 7 points. In any way you hit the stick and even if you end up being out of bounds, it’s a 7 pointer!

Around the stick
Not impossible but nearly. You get 14 points and

How it could be, with 3 players:
Player 1 Throws the first ZLING and ”hits the stick” and the second one ends up second closest. Player 1 gets 7 + 2 points.
Player 2 Throws the first ZLING and” hits the stick” and the second ends up ”around the stick”. Player 2 gets 7 + 14 points.
Player 3 Throws the first ZLING ”closest to the stick” and the second one ends ”out of bounds”. Player 3 gets 3 + 0 points.

Why?
Since all the hitting of the stick deducts the next highest point. In this game P1 hits one and P2 both hit and gets the ZLING around the stick. Points 6 and 5 and 4 have been taken away from the calculation. So even if P3 is closest he only receives the humiliating 3p.

Step up the game by adding these rules:
Making a ZLING
If one or several players during the current round are gonna reach or have reached 51 points or more. Another player can take a chance and make a ”ZLING” in his last throw of the round.
The player calls out – I’m doing a ”ZLING!”. That player now must throw with the ”wrong” hand and must ”Hit the stick”.

If the player succeeds, 14 points are rewarded.
If the player does not, all points are lost, even if the ZLING happens to end up closest to the stick.

Making a GNILZ
If one or several player during the current round are gonna reach or has reached 51 points or more. Another player can take a chance and make a ”GNILZ” in his last throw of the round.
The player calls out – I’m doing a ”GNILZ!”. That player can use either hand but in this throw the player has to achieve a ”Around the stick”. If the player succeeds, that player gets 28p points and all the other players are down to zero.
Note: This is also a hit, so it deducts a score from the total.
Yes: If the points are correct it’s possible that every player has a shot making a ZLING or a GNILZ.
